Fusion guide
What a fusion gives when there is no special recipe: ranks, families and the exact monsters, for every monster.
How the game decides
- A special recipe, if the two parents match one, gives a fixed result (see the fusion tree).
- Otherwise every monster has a synthesis value (1 to 200) and the rank letter is just a band of that value: F 1–30, E 31–52, D 53–85, C 86–113, B 114–137, A 138–163, S 164–185, X 186–200.
- The game offers up to three offspring: one in the family of the first parent, one in the family of the second parent (both use the higher value of the two parents), and one in the mixed family (the family table, using the lower value).
- Each offspring is the first monster of its family whose value is above that reference value, never above the last monster of the family (the family cap). Monsters reserved for special recipes are skipped. Two parents of the same family give a single offspring.
Read from the game code (ROM), not from a wiki. Not modelled: the parent level, the held item other than the Phoenix sceptre, and the inherited "plus" value. Metal Slime, King Slime, Behemoth Slime, Anchorman and the whole Incarnus line cannot be obtained by the generic rule.
